Web Design

How a company or organisation is portrayed online is often important to its success. At Keywave we work with you to ensure first impressions always count.

Your website not only needs to look good and provide an engaging experience for your visitors - it needs to deliver your message, sell your products and services, or turn visitors into long term customers.

You most probably already have a corporate look or style and we can use this as the basis for any design. If not, we can work with you to create a new corporate identity that you can adopt across all your media and marketing communications.

Standards & Accessibility

By adhering to current W3C web standards, your website will work with all standards based browsers such as Firefox, Safari, Chrome, IE8, Opera and others. We currently use XHTML (strict or transitional) for semantic mark-up and CSS2 (stylesheets) for page layout and styling.

Websites should be available to all and we therefore ensure that our sites are as accessible as possible. We follow W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and at a minimum aim for level A conformance.

Search Engine Optimisation

Successful ranking of a website with the various search engines is based on a number of criteria. From the start, we design websites to be search engine friendly and can advise on various marketing techniques to get your website noticed. We provide analytics as standard to monitor and understand site usage which can then be used to make appropriate amendments and enhancements.

Website Makeovers

You may already have a website and are now looking to update it. We can advise you on what improvements can be made and give your site a new lease of life.

Our Design & Development Lifecycle

Our approach to the design and development process is very simple and straightforward :

  1. We will arrange an initial meeting with you to discuss your requirements and to get an understanding of what you want to achieve, who your target audience is and so on

  2. We will then submit a proposal or quotation outlining the scope of the project and details of our project fees and payment terms

  3. Once we get the go-ahead we will discuss with you what content you need to supply to us and begin the design elements of the project

  4. We will then present our initial design(s) and get you to sign off the design work

  5. The website is then built and your initial content is added

  6. After testing, you get to see the site before it goes live, and provide any feedback you have

  7. The website is then uploaded to a live hosting account and the domain(s) submitted to the major search engines

  8. You then have control of your website and can make changes through the integrated content management system (if provided as part of the project scope)

  9. Whenever you need us to make changes or to add new functionality just let us know and we'll get on to it.
